Hello Everyone!

So much is changing for the New Year! Isn't it always like that? All good things must come to an end.. I am so sad to let everyone know that Bree & Jodie Photography will be no more :( Jodie's husband has a wonderful job opportunity with his company and they are moving to Texas! They are leaving today in fact. I am so very sad that they are moving, my whole family is going to miss them like crazy! But we are extremely thankful that God placed them in our lives even if it was only for this short time! If it wasn't for jobs moving you around, we would have never meet them and made such a wonderful FOREVER friendship! So if you come across a Jodie in Texas, she will surely bless your life like she has mine! We are going to miss you guys so much and I pray that God has great things in store for you and that the blessings will be abundant!!!

So what happens to Bree & Jodie Photography? Well..this site will not be updated anymore. I would like to keep it around, because its such a great reminder of friendship and starting our business together! Jodie will come back to visit..(at least she better!!) and at that time, we will be together of course and we can do some shoots while she is here! Here are our 2008 Christmas card (5x6)templates. We recommend scheduling your photo session soon as our weekends are limited before Christmas. The last date for scheduling pictures for Christmas cards will be December 7Th.

All these templates will be customized with your personal message. The colors are as is. If you do not see a template you like here we can custom make one for you for a $10.00 charge.

Also if you don't want a full photo shoot we are working on putting together some mini shoots just for Christmas Cards! Please email us for details.

Cousins!

Cousins are so fun to photograph because of the special bond! They absolutely admire each other- unlike siblings sometimes:) The cousins were getting to together for a photo shoot that may not happen again for a couple years because two are moving to China(Whoe)-I know,sad but what an adventure for them. We will miss them but also wish them the Best in their Journey!!

I was visiting a friend in Washington over the weekend, and she had these BEAUTIFUL blue flowers in her front yard. I couldn't believe just HOW blue they were! I couldn't leave with out snapping a few shots of them! The last two were taken first- when it was raining. :) I went back out when it was dry to get the first shot. :) ~Bree

I was chosen as a finalist in the Summer Fun Photo Contest at 5 Minutes For Mom! I am one of 20 that were selected out of over 400 entries! I am so honored! There are some fabulous photos!

This is the picture I submitted. It was just a snapshot I took of my oldest two, a couple summers ago. They just got new goggles and LOVED THEM! They were being so cute that day! I can't believe how much they have grown since! *sniff* The theme was summer fun, and doesn't that look like summer to you? :)

The other weekend my family and I had an opportunity to stay at the beach with my in laws. On the way home we went to Astoria, Oregon and I just love taking pictures of scenery! The sun came out and it just looked great! I wanted to share some of what I think could be postcard worthy! I really think Jodie and I need to find someone to buy our pictures for that :)

I haven't blogged many pictures lately and Jodie told me to get on that! :) So here are some nature ones from this weekend's hike! We were on a suspension bridge that was 100ft above a creek and 240ft long..the kids got it swinging! I am not one for heights- but the view was beautiful!

Our first Senior Shoot!! What a blast to have good looking and willing model! We had fun driving around and spying cool places then saying "Niko just trust us it will make for Super cool photo's!" After a couple stops, we picked his girlfriend up and we had her get in a few with him! And aren't they cool? we are so happy with the pictures!!

We will be adding more pictures of these lovely kids after the weekend , it was too windy and rainy to go outside during this shoot so we had to schedule them again for a Hopefully "Sunny" day! Luckily this house has awesome natural light so we scored on that, but we want to see those pretty dresses prancing around in some flowers!!

Its not like me (Jodie) to take many pictures of Nature-but lately I have Soo many of my kids(can you have too many?) anyways, I still need to Practice with my new camera so I thought I would give Good Ol' Nature a try! Wow! I actually really liked it! The best part is.... Nature stands still!!!!! I'm not yelling, bribing or threatening the flowers or moss to just give me one more smile! This was actually very relaxing and I did learn a ton about my camera! So you will probably be seeing more nature pictures from me. Plus they are Just Simply Pretty!

This weekend we had the opportunity to photograph two awesome kids! It was our first time shooting anyone over the age of 6! So 10 and 14 was such a breeze!! They were fun, easy going and ready for anything! The park we were at was perfect- it had a little of everything, and the weather was great :) We did a little casual, dressy and sporty all in one photoshoot! It was a blast!

New For Spring!!

Spring is near and Bree and I are feeling the need to Spring Clean our website!!! We are working on our galleries and putting some packages together for the ease of ordering! We have been working together for almost 7 months now-I cannot believe it and we are Loving every minute of it! There is a lot to work through when starting a business especially with another person, a lot of compromise and negotiation involved but I feel we are working through all the bumps pretty smoothly! Luckily Bree and I seem to have the same vision and goals as to where we want our love of photography to lead us!

What a fun Family! Four Boys-Wow! I actually thought it was going to be way more crazy, but these boys were awesome, they were so good! Jessica and I went to highschool together but really haven't seen eachother since, until this day! I am amazed by her story and am so glad to have gotten back in touch with her! Okay, well even though the pictures turned out Great this was actually a very stressful shoot for me! Well, during the shoot was fine, it was afterwards in the digital dark room where I learned my camera broke, thats when it got stressful! I got about 20 pictures then after that it was just black images...uuhhgg! Thats the beauty of having two photgraphers! Thankfully Bree got awesomse shots and everything was okay! Bree & Jodie's First Photo Shoot Together

We've been thinking about the name Better Together Photography, I like it because thats exactly what we are. I feel we are both very talented but when you put us together it just takes our photography to the next level. We seem to balance each other out too like what I'm not good at or slow at Bree really picks up the slack (like computer stuff-ick)! This was our first photo session together and I'm very proud of the pictures that developed, especially cause it was a very chaotic situation (lots of kids running around)! I would like to Thank Holly for letting us take her kids pictures. I know its not an easy task to get three kids ready for pictures and then the pressure to have them cooperate! They were Great! (Especially after I told them I would be sending these pictures to SANTA!) HA! Well here are some of my favorite shots from this session- some were Bree's and some mine! Jodie
